Cargo’s Tokyo in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette!

The Cargo Tokyo in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette $34 is inspired by the cherry blossoms of Tokyo. On my recent trip to Nashville, TN the cherry trees were in full bloom and it was glorious to see. A gift from Japan, there are over 1,000 cherry trees in the Nashville area. Both the outer carton and the palette have a design of a delicate cherry blossom branch. This 12 pan palette has both matte and shimmer shades in soft spring shades of pink, mauve and plum. It also comes with a double-ended brush.

aniise Anti-Aging Face Oil with Apricot

Aniise Facial Oil

Aniise Facial Oil

Usually, when I’m testing out skincare, I like to give it a full month before I share my thoughts. However, after noticing a change in my skin after using the aniise Anti-Aging Face Oil with Apricot & Avocado, $41, for only a week, I knew I couldn’t wait any longer.

Now while I can’t say I’ve seen its anti-aging effects yet, there is a difference in the texture of my skin. It feels softer and more moisturized every time I use the oil. Even the next day, my skin feels as smooth as a baby’s butt, as soft as silk, and all the other clichés.

About aniise

Before I share more information on their anti-aging facial oil, I thought I would share a little about the brand...

Banish Skincare

Here’s How I’m Getting Rid of Acne Scars with Banish!

Scroll to the bottom to see before and after pics.

If you’re like me, and perpetually dealing with breakouts that come and go, but leave scars that seem like they never want to heal, you’re going to want to hear about my newest discovery!  When I stumbled across cruelty free beauty brand, Banish Skincare, and specifically the Banisher 2.0, I was intrigued! I have had cystic acne my entire adult life, and although I have found ways to significantly reduce the acne (see my previous posts for more on that), it seems like the acne scars are even harder to get rid of.

I’ve tried professional micro-needling, and it makes a difference, but you have to do several sessions to see results, and it’s so expensive...

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Toulouse Review

NYX is one makeup brand that has a variety of options when it comes to choosing lipsticks. With so many different formulas and textures, there’s something for everyone. My favourite range of liquid lipsticks has to be the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream since there is a huge 27 shades diversity and I’ve tried a couple of them previously. I also like the NYX Lip Lingerie range, but I wanted to try some different shades this time from the Lip Creams. I thought of trying out the shade Toulouse since it looked quite appealing and I’ll share with you with I feel about it.NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Toulouse Review Swatches Photos

This Spring Wear Pastel Makeup Every Way Possible

Spring has sprung, and with it comes longer, sunnier days, sangria sipped patio-side (finally!) and catching an afternoon Jays games. If there’s one enduring spring trend that tops it all though, year after year, it’s the warm welcome of a soft, super pretty pastel palette.

But while sorbet shades are arguably the dreamiest of them all, sporting a head-to-toe look can be a little much. Instead, take after the likes of Marc Jacobs, Thom Brown and Preen, to name a few, who presented their spring offerings paired with super pretty pastel makeup looks like mint lips and lids, and even festival-ready pastel florals. Here, our favourites to get you #pastelpretty.

Imaan Hammam, Model

“In my family, I’m one of six—two siblings from my dad’s previous marriage, a brother and sister from my mom’s previous marriage, and then me and my little sister when my parents got together. I grew up in Amsterdam, but dad is from Egypt and my mom is from Morocco. My mom has always been into fashion, and on top of that, she sews. The outfits she made in the ‘70s and ‘80s are my favorite. I think her love of fashion is what got me interested in it. I started modeling when I was 13 years old, after I was scouted at a train station in Amsterdam. This woman ran up to me and was like, ‘Are you a model? Here’s my card, please contact me.’ I was already super tall, and I was so insecure...
